3 weeks!

It is hard to believe that it has been almost 3 weeks since I had Thatcher! Time goes by so quickly! In the past 3 weeks he has gained a little over a pound and is now 9 lbs. 4 oz. He is still keeping me up all night and peacefully sleeping most of the day (something I plan on remedying ASAP!) Alyse is still loving him and being helpful, although the reality that he is here to stay is setting in and she does get frustrated with him from time to time (usually while I am feeding him) and she will beg "BABY BACK! baby back!"(while pointing to the swing, or the bassinet, even my tummy a time or two!). Overall the transition has been smooth however and I am incredibly thankful! Despite the lack of sleep and loss of my mental clarity and function, I love this phase. There is nothing in the world more peaceful than holding a sleeping baby! I love those new baby sounds, even his cry is precious! Realizing now just how quickly they change and grow I am spending way too much time cuddling and not nearly enough doing my housework or other chores! With only 2 weeks before it is time to go back to work and only 3 weeks until school starts I am just cherishing every moment!

I'm so sorry I've been such a slacker at the whole "blogging" scene the past couple months. I haven't had internet access! I think little Thatcher is so adorable. I can't wait to see him. And I love the kids' rooms. You have such a unique talent at creativity. JEALOUS! Anyway--I'm glad all is well. Take care!

Those are PRICELESS pictures!! I can't believe school is already to start again. Atleast you won't be full time though. That will be nice!!

That sounds about like how we are sleeping around here too. :) I can't wait until that stage is over again. :)

I agree with you, time goes by so fast! He looks like a cute little man. I wish you the best luck with getting him to sleep better through the night and with Alyse adjusting. PTW your blog is always so cute it makes me jealous.
