Alyse planted flower seeds months ago and has been watching them grow (slowly) into plants. This morning I heard squeals of delight followed by, "MOM, come here QUICK!" As I rushed in the room she happily announced that they were orange and yellow! We have been waiting for the buds to open and reveal what beautiful colors our marigolds would would be. It made my day to see the joy and excitement in her eyes. She has been taking care of them for so long and to have 3 open at once was more than she could have dreamed!
Last week she planted daisies... we will see if she is still excited about gardening when they finally begin to sprout and then eventually bud and flower.
Hooray for spring flowers doesn't it make you want to put on a hat and go play in the dirt?
