My Russ!

I am so excited for Father's Day this year! My cute sweet hubby does so much for us and it is about time Al and I got to spoil him rotten all day! Russ isn't much for ceremony and he hates a fuss so I am trying to keep things understated but still special! I just wanted to take a few moments to let Russ know just how much he is loved!

Alyse is so lucky to have such a wonderful Daddy! I love watching the two of them together! Because of Aly's rough start her daddy was able to cuddle her and give her a bath before I had even had a chance to hold her! I was wheeled into the room where they were keeping her just as they were finishing her first bath and it was so adorable to see my big old Russ bathing this tiny little babe! It is my first memory of the two of them! Aly adores her Daddy it is amazing to see her little face light up when he enters the room! I have never seen a man who is so patient and willing to guide a child to discover the solution all on their own. He teaches Aly though quiet, constant support and love which builds her self confidence and teaches her to be an independent person. He reads the best stories (uses voices and sound effects which make Mommy's plain old reading seem pale in comparison), He gives the best hugs and make it better kisses (when Aly has an 'owie' she always asks for Daddy to kiss it better), he is consistent (Mommy can be a bit of a pushover sometimes), and dependable! Because of our crazy work schedules trying to keep Aly out of daycare Alyse has had the rare opportunity to spend a lot of quality one on one time with her daddy in the mornings! I know that this special time is one of the many reasons that they are so close and I am grateful for a husband who is willing to pack a diaper bag, change diapers, pick out outfits, and schedule nap times while I work during the day! When I am off during the summer I realize just how much he does and it makes me all the more thankful for him in my life! Thanks sweetie you are amazing! Our little boy is incredibly lucky to be getting a Daddy like you! I know you will give him the same love and encouragement that you have shown our little Alyse!

Thanks for being so great to me as well! I couldn't imagine going through life with anyone other than you! You make me laugh and smile, you take care of me, and you continuously show me how much you care! I love you so much! Happy Father's Day babe you deserve the BEST!
