Russ and I also went out on a date last Monday to see Big River at Tuacahn and had a blast! It was actually chilly and I was wishing I had brought a jacket, that was a pleasant change! Unlike our last date we both enjoyed the show and since Russ' mom and sister came out to our house to watch the kids there were no last minute diaper changes etc. etc. to make us late. During intermission we ran into some old college friends and enjoyed catching up in all that has happened in our lives during the past 5 years. We came home that night around 11:30 to find Alyse still wide awake and lying on the couch. Appparentyl Noki decided to bring Grandma Peg and Aunt Julia a 'gift' (he is really into this sort of gift giving as of late) and presented them with a sweet little field mouse (which was still alive). However he let it go and Julie and Mom couldn't just send Aly to bed with a mouse in the house (we all know she sleeps on the floor, by her door -STILL- and that just seemed like not a great place to be since that would be the entrance the mouse would use to enter her room) so she was awake on the couch. Noki had been scared away and Russ was left to catch the critter. After many a failed attempt at mouse catching I finally sent Aly to bed, stuffed a blanket under her door to keep the mouse out and went to bed myself (stuffing a blanket under my door to keep the mouse out). The next morning Nokers had the little guy cornered and after a few more minutes of cat and mouse chasing we finally got the rodent outside where he belongs. ****Sidenote: Noki left a lizard (dead and missing it's tail) as a
gift Monday morning, the live mouse Monday night, the DEAD mouse (missing the entire bottom half of his body) Tuesday afternoon, and a dead bird on the back steps Tuesday night. Let's just say he's been busy! Russ says he is just trying to teach Thathcer how to hunt, whatever he is doing I wish he would STOP because I am quite finished removing dead or living rodents, birds, and lizards from my home!

Other happenings this week I spent some time trying to come up with a craft for Super Satruday in October and after much frustration and failed attempts at what I wanted to do, no longer carrying the supplies, too expensive (the craft has to under $15), etc. etc. I was feeling very frustrated until I finally came up with an idea . . . so here is my craft:

They also have the choice to do "FALL" or "SNOW" it only costs $7 for four letters, so glad that is taken care of. Tomorrow my friend Kaye is in town so I get to go out to lunch with her and old friends from East Elementary (where I interned before teaching at Arrowhead) and then I have a cake decorating class that night at 7:00 (just in time for Aly's birthday), Wednesday is my Reading Recovery class, and Thusday is Aly's birthday!!! Friday we leave for Highland as soon as I get off work and then the ZOO PARTY so much fun to look forward to! I'll catch up when I can!

I love your craft idea, it is too cute and looks easy for noncrafters!
This is so cute! I am going to do this with my baby girls name, but I need to ask you where you got your blocks...
