This afternoon the kids and I made jam! It was my first time EVER making it and it actually was a lot of fun! We made 3 batches of peach freezer jam, 2 batches of applesuce (baby food) and peeled, sliced, and froze TONS of carrots and onions! Thanks to mom and dad for all the yummy produce from your garden! At one point during the afternoon I had set Thatch down on the recliner and he started fussin' so as I am coming over to check on him Aly says, "I got it, I got it mom!" and climbs up on the recliner, pulls him onto her lap and gives him his mimi and then just cuddled him! (ignore the fact that Aly is still in her jammies at 1:00 in the afternoon! I did get her dressed eventually I PROMISE!) She is such a good big sister and is always there to help when I need her! Thanks Aly for your help today while mommy was so busy in the kitchen! I love you!

Too cute!! Wow those peaches look really good. We don't really get too good of fruit up here. We do get berries though so that is nice...but bottled peaches and freezer jam...yum
That's so sweet. And congrats on being able to can with two small children. You should get an award for even attempting let alone succeeding so thoroughly. Enjoy!

I have never had Peach jam but it sounds good. I might have to try making some next year. You are so lucky to get good produce from you family, way to use it! Alyse looks like such a good big sister and helper.

Fun! We put up a bunch of apricot jam last month. Its nice to make your own jam. Always tastes better.
