Can you belive it my Daddy turned the BIG 5-0! Congrats Daddy! It was so fun to come to your big birthday bash and I am glad we made the trip (short as it was!) Alyse was so excited when you finally arrived for your 'surprise' event and I have to give a shout out to Mom who worked so hard to make everything perfect! Great JOB! (Dad didn't make it easy that's for sure!)
Of course the PERFECT venue for my father's birthday celebration was Cabella's, let's be honest he single handedly helps to keep them in business (my entire wedding was paid for on his Cabella's card just so he could collect the points). He is the ONLY person I know who shops there so much that they send him a leatherbound catalog! (serious!) It was so great to have so many family and friends show up to lend their support and get in their 'old man' jokes.

Well Russ and I had intended to turn right back around after the bash and drive back to St. George that night, (We had a Wedding to be to Saturday and hoped to get our driving in while the kids slept). However we just couldn't leave (not mention being exhausted and not wanting to drive anymore). So we stayed the night and the next morning (on Dad's actual birthday) we all went to Jim's for breakfast! Mike and Lacie, Mom and Dad, Alyse, Thatcher, Russ, and I. It was so yummy and from the pictures you can see that Aly was THRILLED to spend a little more time with her "Buckas" (aly-ese for Grandma/Grandpa) It was so fun and I am glad we made the trip!

Wow, I thought my parents were young! My dad turned the big 5-0 a few years ago. That's great that you had so much family time. Oh, and Happy Birthday to you as well! Hope it's a good one!
It is true my 'rents are so young! Would you believe I am their youngest child! My mom doesn't turn fifty until March!
I lived to experience it! I was there! That is the hat I gave him! He was such a good sport wasn't he! It was a really fun party. Kudo's for your mom.
