The English language has been greatly influenced by many great (and not so great) contributors those who have paved the way. We owe many of our words to Shakespeare, Edgar Allen Poe, and so many others for their creativity as they invented new words to add to our vocabularies. Now there is a new contributor to add to the mix . . . a real word wizard if I do say so and her name is Alyse! I just giggle at her new and creative ways to pronounce words! I realized I better start writing them down or I will soon forget just how precious this 'baby talk' is! So here are a few "aly-isms" that I hope to not forget!
Grandma = Buck-ah
Grandpa = Buck
Gabby = Buck-ee
Michael = Buckle
(do you see a theme?)
Thank You = DEE-dah
Swing = Wee Wee
Horsey = SeeSaw
lovey = la la
binky = mimi
Mac n' Cheese= cheezzz
Peanut Butter = bud-dah
Yogurt = Oh-go
Juice = ooh-s
Color = cah-lah (or cah-lor with a VERY pronounced 'l' and 'r')
There are so many more and I will add to the list as I get a chance! I can't believe how big she is getting! Time goes by too fast! I love you Al!
