{only 15 weeks left & lots to do}

I am finally starting preparations for the arrival or our new baby girl... I made a car seat blanket! It is the first of MANY projects I have yet to complete... and 15 weeks to get them done... I may need to make a checklist.
Of course now that mine is complete while the kids and I were at the park today I saw a VERY ADORABLE car seat blanket that had a few improvements that were worthy of taking note... I may have to make another one (you might need two... you know one's in the wash...) and try to make the adjustments. However, while I was talking to the mother of the child who was currently using the car seat of the said blanket that I was coveting; she mentioned she purchased her's for over $40 at the What Women Want Expo. I made mine for just over $15... and I bought some other things... I saved some serious cash with coupons, sale prices of up to 40% off of fabrics, etc. So upon further reflection, I am not needing those improvements any time soon! And I made a mental note to point out to Russ later when he gets home how thrifty I am... I am sure it will make him love me all the more!

I have to point that out to Joe, too. And have my friends point it out. Don't they realize how much money we're saving them????? SUPER cute!!! Way to be thrifty... gets kinda addicting, huh?

So cute! I might have to make one myself. How much fabric do you have to have, or did you just wing it?
