{happy birthday grandpa}

My Dad is amazing! Any of you who know him can back me up here! He is such a hard worker and sacrifices so much for his family! I am one lucky girl to call him Daddy and my kiddos ADORE him! (yes it was necessary to put that in all CAPS because they truly do!) Alyse has been notifying me of every toy, clothing item, and shoe that came from her Grandpa and would ONLY leave the house wearing shoe that Grandpa bought the other day (apparently they are superior to shoes purchased by anyone else) and Thatch is his little clone and actually refused to come to me on Grandpa's last visit because he was NOT about to leave his Grandpa's arms (anyone who knows my little man will realize just how huge this is since Thatcher is basically attached to my hip like a growth and rarely leaves my side, this may be problematic in a few months when the new baby arrives... mental note work on attachment issues with Thatcher) Anyway....

Happy Birthday Dad! We love you and miss you thanks for being such a great Grandpa to our sweet kids and for all you do for us and our little family! Alyse has been singing "Happy Birthday" to you all day getting ready for your morning phone call tomorrow and is quite excited that you get to have a 'bir-fday' just like her! We hope you enjoy that DELICIOUS cake! (I am a wee bit jealous!) We love you, miss you, and can't wait to see you in a couple weeks! Until then enjoy your video:

(BTW this song may seem odd or even random to some but Dad you know I think of you EVERY time I hear it... good times!)

oh my gosh! That song reminds me of your mom and dad too! Another one that ALWAYS reminds me of your dad is (I'm not sure of the exact title of the song) that older song that says "Turn the radio up, for that sweet sound..." I remember driving in the car with you guys and him singing it loudly and turning the radio up. Haha. It was so fun. To this day I do that and think of him! You've got a great dad.

Did your family do this for a lip sync once? That is what I think. What fun pictures to honor your dad.

Mindy and Russ,
Your video was shown to anyone who came by on Dad's B-Day. I heard it playing again last night after I was in bed. To say Dad loved it would be an under statement. It was the most fun for him to get and it meant so much. Thanks
Love, Mom
