{this week's holiday highlights}

This week to celebrate the Christmas Season we...
went to look at Christmas Lights (the appropriate amount of oohh's ahh's and 'look, look' filled the evening with wonder.)
Went to the Temple to see the Nativity, look at the lights, see the Christus statue (Aly's favorite part), and to watch the movie Joy to the World (where Alyse started screaming in the small theater that she was scared because "there is a witch in this movie!" who actuatlly happend to be the people of Bethlehem. I apologize to all who were enjoying the spirit of the movie when my child started freaking out about witches. Thatch just wanted to see the baby Jesus and when the Baby went away he kept saying "Baby, Baby" in his loud little voice... again I apologize!)

After baths we enjoyed a little Christmas tunes Dance Party to get the kiddies ready for bed... Aly is really getting into her leg kicks if you can't tell and Thatcher is really attempting to mimic her mad dance moves...

Russ and I took the kids to see the Live Nativity are Tuachan. We got to again look at the lights, see Santa, watch the performance of the Christmas Story, ride the train, and visit with Ruthanna (so glad we ran into her it was nice to visit!) Aly's highlights include the train ride and seeing Santa, Thatcher loved the shiny Christmas ornaments decorating the train (he kept pointing to them and saying 'ball, ball' I don't think he even looked past them to see anything else) and the lights. As for the performance of the Nativity... Alyse kept asking why the lights were off and Thatcher was more intrigued by the rocks than anything going on onstage... but it was still lots of fun. Sadly my camera batteries died so... no pics!
