Spring break started off with a load of this sandy concoction being dumped on our driveway! (hey if you aren't going to go to the beach why not bring the beach to you huh?) Alyse has spent every waking moment in the sand and needless to say I have been cleaning quite a bit of it out of clothes, hair, couches, carpets, etc. etc. etc.
The reason for the sand was to help us with this project (clearing the rocks to put in a sandstone paver patio/driveway on the side of the house) and . . .
. . . this! We needed 'fill dirt' to help level out the yard and fill in trenches. Yes, your eyes do not deceive you, we have sprinklers, one step closer to a beautiful grassy backyard!
We got a visit from 'her' (that would be Grandma Thatcher for those of you who don't know) and needless to say she also spent a lot of time in the sand.

In honor of St. Patty's Day we whipped up a batch of these for a lucky start to our day! (It isn't the polaroids they really are that lovely shade of green)

We spent a lot of time playing together (Thatch loves to 'mimic' whatever Aly is doing, so cute with their 'fishy faces')

We took LOTS of these, thanks to the sand pile my kids were VERY, VERY dirty :)
And did TONS of this!!!!! (so umm the polaroid cut off half my face so use your imagination it if you must . . . )
Because who wouldn't want to squish this cuteness???? You get cuter every day buddy!
Oh and daddy had a birthday-the BIG 3-3!!!! (which I forgot to take pictures of, and I am kicking myself, but it was so much fun!!!! We had a BBQ and movie night -set up a projector and a screen and watched one of Russ' fav's Casablanca- in the park with some neighborhood friends) and Thatch got his first taste of cake (yummy ehh little man?)All in all it has been a marvelous Spring Break and I am so sad to go back to work tomorrow :( I am now counting down the days until SUMMER VACAY! (Is is May yet?) Ahh the life of a teacher.
