Tagged!

My cute cousin Emily just tagged me on her blog so here goes! (Oh and Em, good luck with the baby! You will be a great mom and I am awaiting pictures and the announcement that she is FINALLY here! Any moment now!)

So here are the rules of being tagged: list 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 surprising facts and then tag 5 other people. Leave a comment for the people you tag so they know they have been tagged.

Joys....
1. Morning cuddles with my family!
2. Naptime! (precious, precious, valued hours!)
3. Walking and Talking! There is nothing better than taking a long walk with someone you love and just chatting about life and dreams.

Fears....
1. SPIDERS!!!!!! nasty little creepy crawly . . .
2. Wasting these precious years with my kiddos! I get so caught up in daily life, housework, schoolwork, routines, appropriate behavior and rules, getting everything done etc. etc. that I look back sometimes and worry that I am missing out on precious moments while my kids are little! Everyone tells you when you have that first baby "they grow up so fast!" and you roll your eyes because you have heard it a thousand times but Alyse is turning two and I don't know where the time has gone! They grow up SO FAST and I am worried that I will miss making precious memories and enjoying life's experiences because I am caught up in the mundane details!
3. Keeping the 'Romance Alive' You hear of those couples that raise their family, send their kids off to college, retire, and then look at their spouse of 30 years and say, "Who are you?" I know that Russ and I are young and we are still very much in love but I see how it happens. We work opposite schedules to keep our kids out of daycare, when we are together it seems like there is so much 'business' that needs to be taken care of, paying the mortgage, grocery lists, kids schedules and needs, etc. that it is hard to find that time to reconnect on a deeper level, Talk about dreams, and fears for that matter. I am so afraid that one day Russ will look at me and say, "Who are you?"

Obsessions/Collections....
1. Blogging! I am a blog-aholic I am addicted to reading everyone's blogs! (hours of wasted time!)
2. Smoothies, snow cones, milkshakes, and ice cream! Living in the HEAT of St. George summers has developed a LOVE for cold yummy treats! There is nothing better than a smoothie or a snow cone on a BLAZING hot day! There are days where I will go VERY out of my way just for the perfect mango snow cone!
3. BOOKS! Being a teacher my house is FILLED with children's books and I am buying more all the time (thanks to Russ for being so supportive of this little habit). Being the literacy lover that I am they are out where my daughter uses and abuses them! I don't believe in keeping them high on a shelf out of little hands! I know she is little and not always careful when she turns pages or puts them away but exposure is so important, books can be replaced but these early years can't!

Surprising facts.....
1. I went bungee jumping, not like me I realize, but it is true.
2. I CANNOT pee in the outdoors, I have tried, but I just CAN'T do it! (sorry to my fam and all who were 4-wheeling with us that day in tropic, ah the memories.)
3. I can't eat cantelope! The texture makes me vomit! Seriously!

I tag...hmmmm.....
1. Nicole
2. Stephanie
3. Jenna
4. Cori
5. Kristen

I enjoyed reading your tag. Some of the things I knew but wow you are an adventurous soul, Bungee Jumping! I don't think I could ever do it. I also want to enjoy all my time with my little ones, they do grow up too fast. I just hope they have good memories of their childhood and me.
