Little Ballerina

Alyse woke up from her nap yesterday with the book Ballet Slippers in hand. She of course wanted to read it again and again! After the fourth or fifth reading I was pointing out how the ballerinas on the last page had on tutus just like the one she got from Grandma . . . something in her head clicked and she said, "Aly, 'rina?" "Aly 'rina!" then patting her chest she repeated again and again, "Aly 'rina!" I said yes you have a skirt like the ballerinas, apparently I was not understanding because then taking my face in her hands she looked me in the eyes and very seriously said, "'rina ME!" Oh "Aly do you want to dress up like a ballerina?" "YEEES!" So here are the pictures of my little 'rina, enjoy! (I have adorable video as well but sadly it is too big to upload so the still shots will have to suffice, but for the record it was hysterical!

**These are the moments that I would miss if I were working ALL day! I am so grateful to be home more with my kiddos!

Mrs. Summens I found your blog on Jamie Welch's blog. Belated Congratulations on your baby Thatcher, he is so cute! I am so grateful that Tayden had you last year for 1st grade, you were great and really helped him. I am also excited for you to get to work part time this year and it looks like you are already enjoying the change. Good luck with reading recovery you will be great. If you don't mind I might peek in on your blog occasionally. Thanks- Christina Merrill

That is so cute and it sounds like she kind of uses her name at the beginning to say Ballerina. Very cute!!
