{conference & easter}

Conference Weekend was spent playing with toys and catching bugs in the yard while Russ and I attempted to listen. It was so nice to have everyone home, this is one of the first conference weekends where Russ has not had to work and we have stayed in town, it was so nice to just be home with our little family. Not to mention the weather was perfect! Easter was equally as perfect as far as the weather is concerned and my parents came down south to enjoy the weather and celebrate the holiday with us.  It was a busy busy weekend which started off with an egg hunt, where Grandpa really helped both Aly and Thatch get down their best egg hunting strategy so that the optimal number of eggs would be acquired.  I was paired up with Mags and lets just say her egg hunt was not as fruitful, luckily she was thrilled with an egg in each hand so no one seemed to mind.  After the egg hunt we headed downtown for the art festival.  It was so fun!  I have now attended the art festival two years in a row and I must say it has become my new Easter weekend tradition.  I love the fun kid crafts, the water park, and the music.  After a busy afternoon and some yummy food we headed back to Ivins to put kiddos down for quick naps.  Upon waking we walked down the road to visit the FFA farm and see the animals.  My kids love visiting the animals and I hope the FFA kids don't mind us wandering over from time to time, it is like our own little petting zoo!  After some time on the trampoline my parents were officially worn out and they headed back to Grandma and Grandpa GG's for a little R&R.  Sunday morning brought a visit from the Easter Bunny, one final choir practice, church, lunch, and an egg hunt at the GG's house.  It was fun to see Amie and Luke and their sweet kids.  I can't believe we live this close and I never see them!  I need to remedy that this summer!
