Oh how I have missed these little people. With the start of the school year and a return to full time teaching I feel like I have hardly seen my little kiddos. This weekend I snuggled, cuddled, and kissed them extra to make up for it! I am so incredibly blessed to come home to these sweet faces at the end of my day. We took the kids out to the reservoir to feed the ducks the other day. It was so adorable. I sadly had left my camera in my classroom since I have been taking pictures of my kindergarten kids the first few days of school. Oh how I wish I could have captured the excitement on Thatch's face when he saw those ducks swimming across the reservoir to meet him. Alyse seemed to be quite the expert on the whole duck feeding procedure and took charge (just like always). She really likes to be in control... I just don't know who she might get that character trait from?!? haha! Maggie is all smiles these days and she smiles with her WHOLE little body. She is so EXCITED when she sees me and it melts my heart her arms and legs start flailing and she can hardly contain her eager anticipation of being picked up by her Mommy! Kindergarten is now in full swing and we all survived the first few days, although my feet are killing me, I am not gonna lie. I have two adorable classes! It makes saying goodbye to my kiddos a little less painful when I get to go and do something that I love. Russ started school today... classes, meeting with professors, buying books... the reality of our new hectic crazy life is setting in and I miss seeing my sweet husband. Not only is he busy with work, the kids, and school but he was asked a few weeks ago to conduct a stake choir for out upcoming stake conference in September. He has been busy working on music preparing for rehearsals and all that goes with running a choir. I love having music in our home and love even more that Russ is able to put all his musical training to use but I have to admit I kind of hate him being so busy. But it makes the time we have together all the more sweet! The yard should be in and finished in the next couple of weeks and I am so excited for GRASS as well as a garden... not that I will have much time to spend in it, but the option is there... if I wanted. Then the reality hits that means I have to find the time to mow the lawn... I barely find time to vacuum... add it to the list... having a place for my kids to run and play makes mowing totally worthwhile! There's an update.
