Maggie is already 11 weeks old! It is hard to believe that she is almost 3 months.... She is babbling all day long now and we all love to sit with her while she coos and smiles at us! She is a mover and often is found twisted sideways in her swing or flipped completely over in her bouncer! Definitely not the kid to leave lying around unattended, she doesn't stay where she is put!
School is out for the summer! I feel like I just had a summer break (i.e. maternity leave) and it feels weird to be out. I am excited for next year though and I was having a hard time staying focused on Reading Recovery those last couple weeks while we were testing because I have so much to do before we go back on August 5th! I am hoping to spread it out as much as I can over the Summer, little bits here and there so it won't seem too overwhelming and I can still enjoy a little time with the kids.
Aly and Thatcher are growing up as well Alyse gave her very first talk in primary today! I was so proud of her she did such a great job and was so excited to do it! It was kind of surreal to be sitting in the primary room watching my 'big girl' sitting up front waiting to give her talk.... she is growing up.... when did that happen? Thatcher is hilarious! Seriously he has the most adorable sense of humor and loves to make us laugh! He is talking so much these days and LOVES to read he won't let me put him to bed now without a story (or two or three) and I love that he enjoys books so much! (***Confession I also love that he is reminding me to read with him because often I get so busy that I don't take the time.... I know I know I am a 'reading teacher' but even I need to be reminded to read with my children sometimes!)
There's a quick update! I hope to have time to update more often now that we are on our Summer Schedule.
