Background Information:
Alyse LOVES to dance! She especially loves to dance to Shrek in the Swamp Dance Party, during which she MUST be wearing a princess dress! Often throughout the day I am helping her change into princess clothes so that she can dance.
Setting the Scene:
Sacrament Meeting, Russ is sitting on the stand since he is filling as ward chorister this week. The kids and I are sitting on the front row of the overflow seats in the back. I am holding Thatcher and Alyse is sitting on the floor playing with a little boy from the ward, Vincent, she is sharing Thatcher's toys with him.
The speaker finishes and the organ begins playing the rest song. Russ has everyone stand and we begin singing. Alyse stands up and instead of singing begins to dance, twirling in circles, 'ballerina' arms, and leg kicks. Vincent's parents (the Jacob's) and another family, the Jackman's, beginning watching our little recital. Then suddenly Aly stops . . . turns to me and says, "I need a PRINCESS!" then proceeds to pull her skirt down, step out of it and come running over "I need a PRINCESS, I need a PRINCESS RIGHT NOW!" We all begin laughing as I awkwardly try to grab her skirt and get her dressed, all while still holding Thatcher, and she starts screaming . . . "No not my skirt Mommy, I need a PRINCESS!"
At least the girl KNOWS what she wants right!

Haha...that is hilarious. I have so much to look forward to...kids during Sacrament Meeting! Hey, it keeps it interesting I guess. She sounds like such a character.
I was going to ask you...did you know that lady from Ivins who died? I see her all the time on the news, and think of you. What a tragedy.
Oh I would have loved to witness that. Sounds hillarious!
That is so funny! I am sure everyone thought it was cute!
Haha!! She is such a cutie!!! I'm coming to St. George in a couple months I wanna see you!!
Mindy! That is so funny. Those are the stories you tell the rest of your life. I hope you are writing down these funny things she does. Some kids are just funnier than others, and it sounds like she is on top of the charts! Thanks for making me laugh.
Alyse, sometimes I do the same thing. It livens things up a bit at church.
