It is in the calm and peaceful moments that I relish being a mommy! Tonight after teeth were brushed, stories were read, and Aly was in bed; it was just Thatch and I snuggled up in the glider as I lulled him off to sleep. There are few things in this world that are more peaceful than a sleeping baby in your arms and as I carefully transferred my 'almost' sleeping infant into his crib and watched him drift off to dreamland I silently thanked my Heavenly Father for these two amazing children that make each and every day an adventure! In a blink this sleeping baby will be a wild and crazy toddler and my little toddler will soon be a preschooler! They grow up so quickly and too often I forget to slow down and enjoy THIS MOMENT that we are in right now! So here's to sleepless nights, monsters under the bed, teething, sippy cups, toys, toys, toys, lovey's, blankies, and all the other daily occurences that we currently endure/enjoy. I am reminding myself to ENJOY this part of our journey because someday I will no longer be getting up for Thatcher's 4 am feeding and it will be nothing but a memory, one I hope to cherish!

that was beautiful! and sooo true! its hard to enjoy a 5 am feeding, but before you know it, they don't need you anymore. bentley is already in preschool, and i can't believe chloe will be there soon too. Its been said over and over, but its still stands true... they grow up too fast!
I have been enjoying those moments lately too. There really isn't much more peaceful than your sleeping baby. Makes you feel so lucky to be there at that moment.
