{summer time}

I love our lazy days of summer.  I am sad to see them gone, I think I go into mourning every year as I see it end.  It is the last week of July, the passing of July means the end of summer, over. finito. gone!  I have already been in back to school mode for a while now, lesson planning, teacher blog-stalking, curriculum mapping, etc. etc. etc.  But all of that is different, it is done at home in my spare time, with my babies all around me.  I love planning, setting up my classroom, buying school supplies, perusing teacher catalogs, I love it!  I spend way too many of my summer hours thinking up new arrangements for my classroom and fun new ideas for teaching units or themes. I am always so excited for a new class with fresh faced students in their brand new clothes.  But I hate, hate, hate leaving my babies!  I feel torn between two worlds and two passions.  So with a sad heart I say goodbye to summer days, but with anticipation and excitement I look forward to a new year, and brand new crayons (squeal!)  At least we are going out with a BANG (literally the fireworks last night were awesome!)! And even though I am full gear into back to school mode we are still finding the time to squeeze in swimming lessons every morning for the next two weeks.  What better way to say goodbye to summer than spending every day in the pool.  Here are a few summertime pics for you to enjoy!  Have fun school supply shopping.
